Commodore Pet Character Rom Error.

After a few seconds of normal use the pet screen developed a fixed character output fault.

The board is a late 8032 and you can see the Character Generator ROM at the bottom right corner of the board.

After discussion with http://www.vintage-computer.com they simulated the fault by lifting two pins off a working Rom.

After sourcing a 24 pin 2716 EPROM and programming it  with the "characters-2.901447-10.bin"
character set found at  http://www.zimmers.net/anonftp/pub/cbm/firmware/computers/pet/ the PET lived once again.
