The Severn Valley Venturer
The dining vehicles on this train belong to the S.V.R. (BR) Buffet Car Fund which was formed in
1980 to purchase British Railways catering
vehicles for use on the Severn Valley Railway.
These vehicles are entirely owned and staffed by volunteers.
1682 RB (Restaurant Buffet)
Built in 1961 by Pressed Steel and delivered to the Eastern Region of British Railways. The vehicle was
purchased from Thornton Fields, Stratford, and delivered to the Severn Valley Railway in March 1981.
3103 FO (First Open)
Built in 1961 at Wolverton, one of a batch of 3 delivered new to the Scottish Region. This vehicle was
purchased from Oxley (Wolverhampton) and delivered to the Severn Valley Railway during 1985.

1855 RMB (Restaurant Mini Buffet)
Built in 1961 at Wolverton and delivered new to the Eastern Region. It latterly served in Scotland, was
purchased from Inverness and delivered to Bridgnorth in March 1983.
