The LNER (SVR) Coach Fund was formed during 1977 to preserve and restore a number of teak carriages, of Gresley design, to operate on the SVR. Nowadays the Fund owns four carriages, three of which have been restored from derelict condition and form half of the unique set of six LNER carriages currently operated by the Severn Valley Railway. These three date from the mid - 1930's and are:-24068 a side corridor 1st/3rd class composite brake, built at York during 1937.
43600 an open 3rd built at York during 1934.
24105 an open 3rd built at Metro Cammell during 1936.The Fund also owns GNR composite No 2701 which is much older, dating from 1922 and is currently being restored to enable it to be added to the set.
